Baby no more

Sniff, sniff, no longer can I call him my little boy, now that he is a full fledge rough and tumble, rock 'em-sock 'em, car smashing, monster truck luvin' BIG BOY! Waaaaah :( Thank goodness he still loves to snuggle, gives the best cheek kisses, and is a super warm hugger.

We started his birthday celebration last night with birthday cake and balloons. Then, we surprised him this morning with a pile of presents and streamers. However, Brennan surprised us all, when he resisted the birthday wishes and announced that he wasn't four. He still wanted to be three and to stop saying it. That all quickly ended when the notion of canceling the birthday and returning the presents was suggested. Daddy headed off to work, we took Lily to school, and then Mommy and Brennan began our fun filled day.

We went to Fun Fit, I-Hop, and The Little Gym. He had so much fun playing, ate a yummy brunch, and loved the gymnastics class.

After picking up Lily from school, we invited some neighborhood friends over, ate popcorn and watched Kung-Fu Panda. The kids had fun playing together and it made Brennan feel like he was having a party. The day ended with a much needed bath, 2 exhausted kids, and a 4-year old boy going to bed with a smile on his face.

My sweet perfect Brennan, I wish you all the fun and happiness in the world, a healthy and safe childhood, and a bright and fulfilling future. You are the light of our lives, a true joy in our hearts, the silliest son to laugh with, and the best boy to hug. We love you handsome Brennan.
